Section titled “Members”What is Tally?
Section titled “What is Tally?”A Telegram bot that runs group buys and group-funded lab tests from a single post in your group. It keeps the roster, the amounts, and the shipping list so the organizer doesn’t have to.
Does the bot hold my money?
Section titled “Does the bot hold my money?”No. You pay the organizer’s wallet directly. Tally tells you the exact amount and address, records your proof, and the organizer (or the blockchain, for Solana stablecoins) confirms it.
Why does my amount end in odd cents?
Section titled “Why does my amount end in odd cents?”Every payer’s amount is unique by a few cents so a payment can be matched to a person without asking. Send exactly the figure in your DM.
I paid. What now?
Section titled “I paid. What now?”Tap 📤 I paid on the post and reply with the transaction id or a screenshot. USDC and USDT on Solana confirm automatically within a few minutes; anything else the organizer confirms by hand. You’ll get a DM either way.
The bot says it can’t message me.
Section titled “The bot says it can’t message me.”Telegram only lets a bot DM people who have opened it once. The alert includes a link; tap it, press Start, and try again.
Can I change my quantity?
Section titled “Can I change my quantity?”While the buy is open, tap any quantity button; it replaces your old number. After it closes amounts are frozen, so ask the organizer.
What if I need to drop out?
Section titled “What if I need to drop out?”Tap 🚪 Leave while the buy is open. After close, the organizer can drop you; any share you’d already paid is theirs to refund.
When does a buy close?
Section titled “When does a buy close?”When the organizer closes it. If there’s a close date, the post shows it, the topic gets a warning inside the last 24 hours, and the organizer gets a Close button when it arrives. Nothing closes automatically.
Where does my shipping address go?
Section titled “Where does my shipping address go?”Only to the organizer, by DM, and only for the buy you paid into. It’s deleted 30 days after the organizer closes the buy out. /address shows or clears the copy Tally saves to offer you next time.
How do I know what’s happening?
Section titled “How do I know what’s happening?”Every DM ends with what happens next. ℹ️ My status on the post always answers for you personally.
Organizers
Section titled “Organizers”Who can run a buy or propose a test?
Section titled “Who can run a buy or propose a test?”Group admins run buys. Anyone can propose a test; an admin approves it. Give Tally the Pin messages and Manage topics rights in the group.
How do price tiers work?
Section titled “How do price tiers work?”Enter them as 53 / 48@10 / 45@50: $53 each, $48 each from 10 units, $45 each from 50. The tier is chosen by the whole group’s total when you close, and everyone pays the same unit price.
What’s the lab-test fee on a buy?
Section titled “What’s the lab-test fee on a buy?”An optional total you set when creating the buy, split evenly across everyone who pays. It shows on the post as a live per-head estimate and freezes at close like everything else.
What’s in the daily digest and when does it come?
Section titled “What’s in the daily digest and when does it come?”Once a day after 15:00 UTC, one DM listing anything that needs you: unpaid people, claims waiting, missing addresses, people to ship, overdue close dates. If there’s nothing to do, no message.
Can I run more than one buy?
Section titled “Can I run more than one buy?”Yes. Each buy is its own post in its own topic, and /buys lists them.
What does Tally store?
Section titled “What does Tally store?”Your Telegram id and username, what you joined, your amounts and payment proofs, and your shipping address for the buys you pay into (deleted 30 days after the organizer closes each one out), plus the one saved address you can clear any time with /address. No wallet keys, ever.
